Leedsichthys and Liopleurodon were two giant prehistoric marine animals that lived during the Jurassic period, roughly 165 to 155 million years ago. Leedsichthys was an enormous, peaceful filter-feeding fish, while Liopleurodon was a fierce, carnivorous marine reptile that occasionally hunted it.
